The Dialed Freeride Crew (DFC) works with skilled riders ages ~10 to ~16 who are passionate about the sport and want to take their riding to the next level through experienced coaching.
This program is for the rider that is comfortable flowing on all Squamish blues and is beginning to sample some black-rated trails and features. Some of the skill progression that could be included in your child’s sessions would include introduction to and development of small jumps and drops, slabs, advanced cornering and other maneouvers and other features the Sea-to-Sky has to offer. Coaches will work with your young one to tailor a progression plan based on your child’s goals and current skill set.
DFC’s spring and fall sessions include nine weeks of skill-building through focussed coaching as well as opportunities to ride various terrain and features, learn trail-building techniques, and possibly even meet some local mentors. Riders can expect to advance their skills and understanding of how to refine their riding and improve their decision-making regarding trail choice, trail features and what to bring on their rides.
This program emphasizes freeride and will feature a skill-based approach rather than one centered on race results and competition.
With a similar goal to our other kid’s programs, DFC will continue to build on existing skills, establish a confident decision-maker on the trail, and encourage creativity within their riding all while having fun on two wheels.
