Learn the basics of changing direction on green & blue trails! We will break down the different parts of a corner and develop a strong body position to maintain speed and traction in the berms. The focus of these sessions will be to develop a smooth and effortless riding style in a safe and supportive environment.
Who is this course for?
You have a mountain bike and have ridden a few green and blue trails but you’d like to have more confidence. The ideal candidate has completed our Beginner 4-pack or equivalent riding experience.
Bike skills needed: You control the speed and the direction of your bike while riding flat, open terrain. Your goal is to start riding off the road on singletrack trails.
Endurance needed: You can pedal on a slight incline (uphill) for 10-20 minutes at a time, conversational pace.

- How to approach corners – where to look, where your tires should go and when to brake
- Berms vs flat corners and the different ways to approach them
