Our most popular adult course for those that have completed the Beginner 4-Pack or are returning to the bike after some time off. We review the FUNdamentals of mountain biking to progress your skills to the next level.
Who is this course for?
You’ve been biking for a season or two and are comfortable on all green and some blue trails in Squamish, but you’d like to ride all blues and some easy blacks with confidence OR you used to ride, and you’d like to brush up on your skills before jumping back in the saddle!
*Ideally you have completed our Beginner 4-Pack or equivalent course/experience
Bike skills needed: You enjoy riding blue trails in Squamish and can tackle most sections but want to gain confidence riding some of the more technical trails like Leave of Absence and Manboobs.
Endurance needed: You lead an active lifestyle and are comfortable spending 2-3 hours on your bike, pedalling at a conversational pace uphill.
Cost: $209 (4 sessions)
What will you learn?
- Review the fundamentals of body position, braking, climbing and gearing
- Carrying your momentum through roll-downs and up-and-overs
- Corner with confidence and efficiency
- Wheel lifts to tackle technical terrain and understanding where and when to pump & roll
This sounds a bit above my level right now.

"I'm a rookie at MTB but with a lot of history riding around forests on bikes when younger, so I tend to tackle trails and features with zero knowledge, 100% instinct, so I decided to go get some professional instruction to see how I can up my game. The instructor was great and I really enjoyed the lesson and the chats we had on the climb up. I definitely discovered a few bad habits that I was able to pay attention to and hopefully have now rectified, and the instructor really helped me to understand how to take time to get off the bike and walk features, observing them from many angles before attempting them for the first time, picking a line according to my ability - this has given me a lot of confidence, culminating in me nailing a major rock roll the day after that I would have never tried before. Definitely worth it. Can't recommend enough."
"In May 2021 I took an Intro to Mountain Biking course at Dialed In Cycling! I can’t say enough about our amazing instructors, Guillaume & Joris. These two are incredibly patient, communicative and consistent with their instruction. They were so encouraging and good-natured, and really made this course approachable for beginners like me. 10/10 would recommend - which is saying something, because before this, I would have given mountain biking a -1000/10 😬😳 Haha! Thank you, guys!!"
"I took an intermediate bike skills course with Jo, and had a great experience. You can tell Jo doesn't just love to ride bikes, but she also enjoys sharing that passion with others. Her classes are fun and Jo communicates how to do each skill in a way that's easy to understand. She gave me time to practice each new skill before hitting the trails."
