Walking (and Riding) With Respect: Our Commitment to Indigenous Collaboration
Dialed In Cycling is honoured to operate on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Sẏwx̓wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).
We recognize that our trails pass through important cultural spaces, including areas near the Wiwk’m village and Ni’nich St’ena’tch (Alice Lake, meaning “deer hunting grounds”). As we ride past culturally modified trees, we are reminded of the deep connection the Sẏwx̓wú7mesh people have to this land.
Squamish Nation Youth Mountain Bike Program
In partnership with Squamish Nation Recreation and SORCA, we co-founded the Squamish Nation Youth Mountain Bike Program. What began in 2019 as relationship-building and shared rides has since grown into a structured mentorship and skills development initiative.
Each year, Indigenous youth join us for weekly rides, gain coaching certifications, receive first-aid training, and develop skills in bike maintenance and event planning. The program is designed to support long-term growth and leadership, with older riders mentoring the younger generation.
More Than Just Youth
In addition to youth programming, we support Indigenous adult rides with coaching, gear, and inclusive trail experiences. These community rides are open to all skill levels and offer a welcoming space to connect through biking.
Our long-term goal? To keep growing friendships, sharing trails, and building pathways into the bike industry for Indigenous riders of all ages.
