Designed for new mountain bikers or those returning to the sport. This clinic covers the FUNdamental skills required to succeed on green & blue trails in Squamish. In each session we will discuss a new skill and progress on the trails. We always prioritize a fun and supportive environment.
Who is this course for?
You have a mountain bike and have ridden a few trails around town. You ride mostly on pavement and gravel. You are interested in approaching singletrack trails.
Bike skills needed: You are comfortable on a bike and can control speed and direction on flat, open terrain. Your goal is to start riding off the road and onto the trails.
Endurance needed: You can pedal on a slight incline for 10-20 minutes at a time, conversational pace.

- Thursday, August 18th & 25th, 6:00pm to 8:00pm
- Thursday, September 8th & 15th, 6:00pm to 8:00pm
What will you learn?
- Balanced/stable body positions for climbing and descending singletrack.
- Techniques for braking and slowing down safely.
- Operations of controls to smoothly make turns.
- Introduction to basic wheel lifts and pumping for rollers.
