After-School Mountain Bike Progression for Ages 7–10
Rad Riders Wednesdays is an after-school mountain bike program for kids ages 7–10 who are comfortable pedaling uphill and excited to explore more technical trails. Designed for confident young riders ready to build on their skills, this program focuses on progression, trail awareness, and having fun while riding with peers.
If your child can pedal up climbs like Miki’s (with a few breaks) and ride down blue trails comfortably, Rad Riders is a great next step. Over four consecutive sessions, riders build confidence, refine technique, and develop consistency on real Squamish trails.
Each program begins with an assessment ride, where our experienced coaches group riders by ability. This allows each group to progress at the right pace — whether that means sticking to familiar descents or stepping up to more technical options as confidence grows. Routes and trail choices are adjusted weekly based on rider comfort, conditions, and group dynamics.
Across the four-week series, riders will:
- Improve climbing efficiency and pacing
- Develop stronger body position and braking control
- Learn to choose lines through technical terrain
- Build confidence riding a variety of Squamish trail features
As with all Dialed In youth programs, we emphasize respect for other trail users, environmental awareness, teamwork, and building positive riding habits — all while creating a supportive, fun atmosphere where kids can challenge themselves safely.
